7. Conclusion
A.1 צָחֹר is a rare word for ‘shiny light grey’, possibly with a tint of red. It may serve as a contextualised colour lexeme for a particular breed of donkeys. From the evidence available Brenner postulates that this lexeme fell out of use since attestations of it in Rabbinic Heb. are primarily regarding this passage in Judges (Brenner 1982:118).
