A.1 The pattern of reduplication in ירקרק conveys a ‘brilliant green or yellow’. It describes the colour of mould or fungus that sometimes grows on a garment or in the walls of a house and the ‘shiny, glistening golden’ colour of a dove’s wings illuminated by the sun (Ps 68:14).
